In the rare case when it’s not the battery, there are other common trouble spots that may be causing the issue. If your car has a bad fuse, you may be looking at a bigger problem than you had originally thought. In most cases, a fuse dies when there is too much electricity runs through it. For example, if the anti-lock brakes are installed with a 10amp fuse, and the brake system receives over 10amps of electrical current, the fuse would fail. In this situation, a blown fuse could cause your anti-lock brakes to fail. A dying light switch, either the interior light dimmer or the headlight switch, should be considered if you have flickering lights on the vehicle. In some uncommon situations, just replacing a worn switch could solve the problem, especially in older cars or vehicles with excessive wear. If your car is newer, there’s a chance it could be symptoms of a more significant issue with the car’s electrical system.
