Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM Announce March Sales Results
Earlier this month, FCA US LLC released United States sales results for the month of March. The company sold 190,254 vehicles for the month as it continued to implement its strategy to reduce fleet sales to the daily rental segment.
Four Dodge models posted year-over-year sales increases in March, leading the brand to a 10 percent gain for the month. The Journey crossover’s sales surged 100 percent, while the Challenger gained 17 percent for the month. The Dodge Viper and Dodge Grand Caravan minivan also handed in sales increases compared to March of 2016.
Sales of RAM pickup trucks and vans improved 6 percent over results from March 2016, buoyed by RAM ProMaster van sales growth of 24 percent.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee experienced the model’s best sales month to date in 2017, delivering a 22 percent increase.
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica — the most-awarded minivan in both 2016 and 2017 — earned a gain of 3 percent over February 2017 sales. March was the third straight month that the Pacifica’s sales were up in year-over-year comparisons, and it also marked the model’s best sales month of the year.
